Who was Zerah?

Zerah is mentioned in the Old Testament in the book of Genesis as the son of Tamar and Judah. According to the biblical account, Zerah was born as the result of Tamar's disguise as a prostitute and her seduction of Judah. Zerah was the twin brother of Perez, who is considered one of the ancestors of Jesus Christ according to the New Testament. Zerah is also mentioned in 1 Chronicles 2:4-6 and other passages in the Old Testament.
